About Us
At OVHai LLM, we build large language models and design platforms and services around these models for specific use cases. We’re a tight-knit team of 15 researchers and engineers, united by curiosity and a shared drive to push the boundaries of what LLMs can do — from training and fine-tuning to rigorous evaluation and benchmarking.
Our team is genuinely diverse and multicultural, bringing together different backgrounds, perspectives, and ways of thinking. That mix is core to how we work: we believe the best research comes from teams that challenge each other’s assumptions and learn from one another every day.
We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. Expect a collaborative, low-ego environment, plenty of interesting debates, shared lunches, and lots of fun — alongside real opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge LLM research from day one.
The Role
You’re a generalist by design: you build and ship the features that make up our product, and you’re also the reason everyone here has a working laptop, cloud access, and secure systems. We’re small enough that these two jobs are still one job — you’re comfortable with that tradeoff, and you’re the first name people think of whether the fire is in the code or in the network.
What You Will Do
- Build and ship product features end-to-end: backend, functional frontend, and the APIs that connect them
- Provision and maintain laptops, servers, cloud accounts, and GPU resources for the team
- Be the primary point of contact — for corporate IT escalations and for production incidents
- Keep devices, accounts, and access secure — patching, access control, endpoint protection
- Handle user data in the product responsibly, in line with GDPR (consent, retention, access requests)
- Automate the recurring stuff (CI/CD, infra-as-code) so the same manual task doesn’t happen twice
What We Look For
- Solid experience across the full stack — frontend, backend, and the APIs in between
- Real experience with systems and network administration (servers, IAM, networking)
- A security-first mindset — you default to “is this locked down,” not just “does this work”
- Calm, clear communication when something is on fire, whether that’s a bug or a blocked laptop order
- Comfort being on-call and owning incidents through to resolution
- Pragmatism — you know when “good enough and shipped” beats “perfect and late”
- Fluent in both English and French (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Experience liaising with an external or corporate IT department
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and observability tooling
- Exposure to GPU cluster management for ML workloads
- Some UI/UX sensibility — not required, but appreciated
The Recruitment Process
- A 15-minute introductory call with the engineering team to discuss the role
- An interview and technical use case assessment with our engineering team
- An HR interview to assess soft skills
- Debriefing session
